Eric and Megan are such sweet and genuine souls. They both live in Chicago, but are from two different parts of Ohio — so they decided to celebrate their wedding together with their family and friends in Columbus. It was such an honor to be able to document such an unforgettable day for them. Both their ceremony and reception were held at the BEAUTIFUL Athletic Club of Columbus and I’ll tell you, it definitely did not disappoint. We started the day by meeting Megan in her room at ACC and all of her girls, her momma, and her were just as calm as could be! They were enjoying their lunch, laughing about, and having the greatest time. As Megan was finishing up her hair and makeup (done by The Bride Bar and they NAILED it), I was photographing her details. We both wrapped up around the same time and we were all stunned when Megan was finished. She looked like a bridal ballerina! We photographed the final details of her getting into her beautiful BHLDN gown and then walked our way over to the Ohio Statehouse so she could share a First Look with Eric, who was waiting so patiently!
We were able to finish all of their portraits at the Statehouse, including bridal party — and these images are some of the most creatively beautiful images I feel I have ever created. The elegance of Megan’s gown, with the clean lines of the stairs and iron railings, with her beautifully simple updo and neutral palette florals, my heart is STILL soaring. Once we were finished, we all headed back to the Athletic Club of Columbus to cool off and prepare for the ceremony. Once the ceremony began, these two were so smiley and engaged with one another as they shared their vows, it was so adorable! They were pronounced man and wife — and were grinning from ear to ear as they made their way back down the aisle!
The ballroom at the Athletic Club of Columbus is INCREDIBLE and their vendor team is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Your jaw will hit the floor when you see what it looks like combined with the beautiful architecture and the florals from Evergreen Flower Co.
We hope you enjoy this inspiration from Eric and Megan’s wedding day! Happy Tuesday!
