Jim and Jeni’s classic summer wedding at High Line Car House in Columbus, Ohio was an absolute dream to photograph and be a part of. From the moment I met Jim and Jeni, I knew the amount of value and love they shared between them. They are full of joy, very earnest, genuine, and really value their families. We did their engagement session last year right before the trees lost all of their leaves — it was 25 degrees outside, but we had a ton of fun together!
For their wedding day, we had quite the opposite weather situation! Their beautiful summer wedding took place in July, right after the holiday, and the weather was gorgeous! Bright green leaves and a temperature in the nineties — it was truly the perfect summer wedding! Jeni chose a very classic and clean color palette — blush pink with lots of greenery up against the black that the men wore.
We started the day getting ready at a hotel in downtown Columbus. Jeni had all of her closest girl friends with her as she put on a beautiful beaded gown and cathedral length veil. So many tears were shed as the reality of the day set it — she’s getting married! They were so relaxed just enjoying the morning together. We then headed to Schiller Park in German Village for Jim and Jeni to share their first look. Talk about ADORABLE. First looks are always my favorite moments of the day! We took tons of beautiful portraits together, had a blast with the bridal party, and made our way over to High Line Car House for their ceremony.
Ben and I were so honored to document this day for these two, and are excited to see Jim and Jeni grow in Christ together as husband and wife!!!!
